Over a 6- to 12-month period, this engagement embeds a dedicated fractional executive into your leadership rhythm, supporting your team with IP asset strategy, protection mapping, monetization initiatives, and cross-industry licensing opportunities.

This is not a legal service, and it is not a one-time audit. The Fractional IP Officer™ is a strategic operating role focused on capturing, organizing, protecting, and monetizing the intellectual capital your business creates—while aligning all IP-related decisions with your brand, valuation strategy, and long-term growth plan.

Scope of Engagement

This retainer blends strategic advisory, operational oversight, and monetization support across the following areas:

We begin with a deep-dive inventory of your IP landscape. This includes:

  • Classification of all existing assets (filed, unfiled, published, proprietary)

  • Identification of unclaimed or undocumented innovation (invention mining)

  • Assessment of current IP protection status, expiration windows, and risk exposure

  • Mapping of innovation pipeline to ensure future developments are captured early

  • Establishment of internal IP capture systems (e.g., invention disclosure forms, team protocols)

This phase ensures we are managing your IP ecosystem proactively, not retroactively.

Monthly Invention Mining & Strategic Meetings

We meet monthly (or more frequently, if required) with key stakeholders—executives, product teams, R&D leads—to surface innovations, assign ownership, and determine commercial or protection pathways. This ongoing rhythm helps you:

  • Maintain a steady IP pipeline

  • Prevent oversight of valuable ideas

  • Align product roadmaps with IP filing strategy

Throughout the engagement, we identify monetization pathways for your protected or protectable assets. This may include:

Engagement Duration

  • Minimum Term: 6 months

Client confidentiality, IP protection, and internal team collaboration are maintained through custom access protocols.


Investment

  • Fee Range: $7,500 – $12,500/month USD
    Pricing is based on:

  • Size of the organization and IP asset volume

  • Number of departments or business units supported

  • Frequency of invention mining and strategic sessions

  • Level of monetization and licensing development required

Proposal is provided following a mutual fit discovery call. This program is offered by invitation or referral only to ensure depth of fit and confidentiality integrity.


Ownership & Confidentiality

All documentation, frameworks, and commercialization materials created remain the property of the client. Bespoke Business Development signs mutual NDAs prior to project commencement, and no external access or collaboration occurs without client authorization. We operate with the discretion and security of an in-house executive.
