Clause 02 · Approved Boilerplate

The firm's
approvedboilerplate.

Use this language verbatim or as a base for adaptation. The short form is for figure captions, sidebars, and credit lines; the long form is for the standard "about" paragraph that closes a press release or article. Custom phrasing is welcomed, but please share it with press@ before publication for a quick factual check.

BOILERPLATE · SHORT≈ 30 WORDS

Bespoke Business Development is a Florida-incorporated consulting firm advising founders and executive teams on strategy, growth, intellectual property, brand, and operations. It operates from Miami with offices in nine additional cities.

BOILERPLATE · LONG≈ 90 WORDS

Bespoke Business Development is a consulting firm working with founders and executive teams across strategy, growth, intellectual property, brand, and operations. Engagements span the lifecycle: pre-launch strategy, launch programs, retainer-based growth work, and bespoke advisory at the executive level. The firm is incorporated in Florida and operates from Miami with offices in New York, Chicago, Austin, Calabasas, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Tokyo, and George Town.

Founded with the conviction that strategy work belongs in the same room as execution, BBD pairs senior consultants with specialist contractors to deliver work end-to-end. The firm's tagline: "The art of business, the science of success."

USE NOTES

Adapt freely — the facts must stay accurate.

Trimming for word count is fine. Substituting facts (founding year, office count, focus areas) is not. The firm publishes a current fact sheet (Clause 09) so you can verify any figure before quoting it. When in doubt, the press inbox responds within 24 hours.

The firm makes four senior leaders available for comment on the topics they own. Routing the request to the right one through press@ usually shortens turnaround. All spokespeople review draft quotes before publication; final language stays with the publication.

Clause 06 · Speaking Topics

The topics
the firmspeaks on.

Conference programmers and editors looking for a contributor can pick from the topics below. Each has a primary spokesperson and a backup; each has been delivered on a public stage in the last twelve months.

01

Founder strategy

What a founder should think about before they hire a consultant — and what the senior consultants in the room are quietly hoping for from them.

02

The IP starter pack

What a non-technical founder needs to know about patents, trademarks, and copyright before raising — without the panic and without the paralegal-speak.

03

Retainer economics

Why most consulting retainers are a slow leak for everyone involved — and what a retainer designed around outcomes actually looks like.

04

Plain-language legal

How the firm rewrites every clause to be readable on the first pass — and why "readable" is a competitive advantage, not a softening.

05

Brand vs. positioning

The difference between what your customers say about you and what your wordmark says about you — and why both matter, in that order.

06

The art & science line

How to know which problems in your business need a framework and which need a conversation — and how the firm decides which is which.

07
Clause 07 · Embargo & Attribution

How embargoes
and quotesare handled.

Embargoes are honored when declared in writing before material is shared. Quotes are reviewed by the spokesperson for factual accuracy before publication; phrasing remains the publication's. Attribution defaults to the spokesperson's name and role; "BBD" alone is fine in figure captions.

Embargo · Declaration
In writing, in advanceThe first email naming the embargo controls. Verbal embargoes are not honored.
Embargo · Window
Up to 14 days standardLonger windows by arrangement. Breaks invalidate the embargo for that outlet only.
Quote Review
Spokesperson · facts onlyReviewing for factual accuracy before publication. Phrasing remains the publication's.
Attribution

Background

Corrections

08
Clause 08 · Inquiries Naming a Client

When the
inquiry namesa client.

If a press inquiry names a specific client of the firm, Legal reviews the proposed response before any quote is given. The review takes hours, not days — it is a courtesy step the firm owes the client, not a delay tactic.

01

Notification

The press inbox notifies the named client that an inquiry has been received. The client decides whether to be quoted, to comment off the record, or to decline — that decision shapes the firm's response.

02

Review

If the firm is going to confirm an engagement, name a deliverable, or reference engagement-specific details, Legal reviews the proposed wording against the Confidentiality Agreement signed with that client.

03

Reply

The reply goes to the journalist within the response SLA — typically inside 24 hours, with a same-day reply when the client has pre-approved the language for routine inquiries.

09
Clause 09 · Fact Sheet

Facts &
numbers,verified.

Current as of the policy version. Refreshed quarterly. Where a figure on this page conflicts with a number elsewhere on the site, this one is authoritative; the discrepancy will be reconciled in the next review cycle.
